Chess 013: Opening Proficiency for 1200 - 1500 Players

Chess 013: Opening Proficiency for 1200 - 1500 Players is Chess.com University's new chess class! This 6-week long class will cover opening principles and key openings 1200 - 1500 USCF / FIDE players must know. There will be emphasis on opening strategy, common opening tactics, and essentially everything about the opening and early middlegame you need to know! While you will gain opening knowledge and learn several systems, the primary goal of this course will be to improve your opening skill and enhance your thinking. The class will also train students to improve their calculation, evaluation, analysis, and planning during the opening. This is the class group for Chess 013. Only registered students may join, no exceptions.
